Job title: Endoscopy Nurses required in South Essex

Location: Southend on Sea

Salary: £21 P/H- PAYE

The Role

• Conduct pre-procedure assessments to determine the patient's medical history, current medications, and any potential risks

• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures by explaining the process, obtaining informed consent, and ensuring they are comfortable

• Set up, clean, and maintain endoscopy equipment, ensuring it's in proper working condition

• Provide assistance to the endoscopist during the procedure, such as passing instruments or applying suction

• Continuously monitor the patient's vital signs and overall condition during the procedure

• Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring recovery, addressing any complications, and offering post-care instructions

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including procedure notes and any observations

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, technicians, and other nurses

Nursing Requirements

• NMC registration

• 6 months’ experience within a UK healthcare setting
