The Opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for the safety and stability of patients throughout the perioperative journey. By managing anaesthetic induction and maintenance with technical proficiency, you provide the clinical support for successful surgical outcomes and safe patient recovery.
The Impact You’ll Make:
- Clinical Delivery: Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and administer anaesthesia to ensure patients are safely prepared for surgery.
- Technical Excellence: Monitor vital signs continuously during procedures, adjusting medication and anaesthesia levels to maintain patient stability.
- Quality & Compliance: Lead post-operative care by managing the emergence from anaesthesia and treating pain or complications according to NMC and Trust standards.
- Operational Success: Coordinate effectively with anaesthesiologists and wider surgical teams to deliver seamless patient-centred care.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 6 months of NHS or relevant UK experience in a theatre environment.
- Credentials: Mandatory Nursing degree and current NMC registration.
- Logistics: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure within a multidisciplinary team.
