Job Description – Tenancy Enforcement Officer
Location: Greenwich

Duration of booking: Expected to last 3 months with possible extension
Proposed start date: ASAP
Pay Rates: £19.30 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
Hours / Working Days: 35 hours per week / Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
Based: Office /public
Working Pattern: 5 days per week in office (initial training period)
Thereafter, 3 days per week in office
Role Overview
The Tenancy Enforcement Officer will deliver a high-quality, customer-focused front-line housing service, supporting residents across a designated portfolio of properties.
This role has been created to provide additional capacity during a period of increased demand, particularly to support new build and recently onboarded homes. The postholder will play a key role in ensuring new tenancies are effectively managed from the outset, helping to sustain tenancies and prevent escalation of issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage new and introductory tenancies, ensuring early engagement and intervention
- Support new tenant move-ins, including conducting tenancy audits and property inspections
- Monitor and enforce compliance with tenancy agreements
- Manage cases of anti-social behaviour (ASB), nuisance, and tenancy breaches, taking appropriate enforcement action
- Maintain a visible presence across multiple sites, building strong relationships with residents
- Deliver early tenancy sustainment support to reduce risk of tenancy failure
- Manage a varied caseload efficiently within a high-demand environment
- Undertake home visits and site visits, including lone working
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in tenancy or housing management
- Proven experience handling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and complex tenant cases
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Experience conducting property visits, tenancy audits, or inspections
