We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Senior Respiratory Physiologist to support a busy Pulmonary Physiology, Sleep and Ventilation service on a locum basis. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lung function testing and ensure accurate physiological measurements to support diagnosis and patient management.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and autonomous practitioner to join a well-established respiratory diagnostics team on a short-term assignment, with potential for extension.

Respiratory Physiologist Requirements

• Degree in Healthcare Science (Respiratory Physiology) or equivalent
• Experience working as a Respiratory Physiologist at Band 5/6 level
• Competence in full lung function testing (spirometry, lung volumes, gas transfer)
• Experience performing bronchodilator reversibility testing
• Ability to work independently in a clinical diagnostics setting
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Experience using respiratory physiology systems (e.g. Sentry Suite or equivalent)

You will need experience in routine lung function tests, Broncho-provocation tests, sleep studies, ABG/CBG, 6 min walk test, CPAP treatment, as well as carrying out clinical and technical reviews of patients on sleep therapy.

• Full-time locum role (Monday–Friday, 9–5)
