Qualifications for Healthcare Assistants

Candidates hoping to become HCAs in the UK aren't expected to meet any specific entry requirements. However, they will need to have good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths may be requested). They will also need some experience in a healthcare setting, either through paid or voluntary work. Some healthcare apprenticeships may also be accepted by HCA employers.
