HR Senior Advisor
Job Overview
An autonomous professional working within Divisions to provide senior-level HR support. The role involves understanding the Division's business strategy, helping deliver key elements of the Workforce Strategy, and managing complex casework independently.

Pay Rates: Up to £24.50 per hour Umbrella or £21 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
Hours / Working Days: 37.5 hours per week / Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Main Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Provide timely, consistent advice on employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, capability, bullying/harassment). Lead complex cases independently and act as a case investigator.
- Panel Support: Provide expert guidance up to dismissal and lower sanction appeals to the chair of a formal panel.
- Medical & Dental Staffing: Maintain oversight of medical and dental recruitment, including consultant-level (AAC) processes, junior doctor rotas, exception reports, and calculating equivalent experience for overseas doctors.
- Consultation & Change: Lead formal consultations and trade union engagement, presenting proposals to committees and staff groups.
- Workforce Intelligence: Validate employee relations data and utilize Business Intelligence reporting to produce concise reports identifying trends and hotspots.
- Team Support & Deputising: Support and guide HR Advisors , and deputise for the HR Business Partner at divisional meetings when required.
Person Specification Key Requirements
- Qualifications: Associate membership of the CIPD (Level 5 or higher), or significant progress towards completion, or equivalent senior advisory experience. Degree level education is essential; post-graduate diploma is desirable.
- Experience: Proven experience in senior-level complex HR and employee relations, including medical staffing. Experience in a unionised environment and change management.
- Skills: Ability to communicate highly sensitive and contentious issues , manage a complex caseload , and manipulate data from ESR using Excel.
