Job Title: EPR Trainer
Starting: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing basic
Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week, 9 – 5.30
Location: North/Central London, with potential travel to other sites
Pay: £15ph – 19ph depending on skill, experience and pay type
Duties:
- Develop and deliver practical, high-quality, role-specific EPR training aligned to clinical and operational workflows.
- Create structured lesson plans, e-learning modules (using Articulate 360), and support materials.
- Deliver blended learning via classroom sessions, virtual training, and post-go-live support (floorwalking).
- Work collaboratively with clinical SMEs and internal programme teams to understand evolving training needs.
- Review and update training content based on feedback from pilot sessions.
- Prepare training environments and oversee learner access to systems.
- Deliver pilot training and adapt lesson plans accordingly.
- Support super user onboarding and act as a key liaison for their development.
- Track attendance and engagement via the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Assist with floorwalker rota coordination and end-user training planning in the lead-up to go-live.
- Participate in lessons-learned exercises and contribute to the handover for training teams.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience delivering Electronic Patient Record (EPR) training in NHS settings.
- Demonstrated EPR training experience across multiple clinical areas.
- Skilled in developing and delivering training materials for the following clinical domains:
- Outpatients
- Inpatients
- A&E
- Theatres
- Order Communications
- ePMA (Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration)
- Proficient in Articulate 360, Microsoft Office, and LMS platforms (ideally Kallidus Learn).
- Ability to design and adapt lesson plans in collaboration with clinical stakeholders and programme leads.
- Confident delivering training to both clinical and non-clinical audiences, in-person and virtually.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Able to work flexibly across clinical and operational teams and adapt to programme developments.
- Experience supporting super users, floorwalking, and post-go-live classroom training.
Desirable Experience:
- Familiarity with Meditech Expanse and/or OpenEyes EPR systems.
- Previous training experience in a specialist acute NHS Trust.
- Strong understanding of NHS information governance, data quality, and training compliance standards.
- Experience using Kallidus Learn for managing and reporting on training engagement.
