Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Employee Relations Administrator to join our dynamic Employee Relations (ER) team. This Band 5 role is ideal for a highly organised HR professional with a solid background in HR administration within a complex organisation, preferably in the NHS or healthcare sector. You will provide essential support on a wide range of ER matters, including complex casework and employment tribunals.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Provide high-level administrative and organisational support to the Employee Relations Managers and Advisors.
- Coordinate Employment Tribunal (ET) responses, liaising with solicitors, managers, HR, and witnesses to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Administer and track complex ER casework, including investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances, and appeals.
- Maintain and update the ER case management system (e.g. Assure, Selenity), case trackers, and regular reporting documentation.
- Accurately minute complex and sensitive ER meetings, ensuring timely and secure distribution.
- Manage the external transcription service, including bookings, cost monitoring, and compliance with data handling protocols.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal ER queries, providing guidance and escalating formal issues where appropriate.
- Support Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) processes and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Assist in the coordination of HR/ER projects, including policy updates and training events.
Candidate Requirements:
- CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards Level 5 (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated experience in HR administration within a busy, complex organisation (NHS or public sector desirable).
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- High level of confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proven experience supporting complex ER processes; experience with ET cases is highly desirable.
- Confident and proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Knowledge of case management systems such as Assure or Selenity is beneficial.
