Pharmacy Assistant NVQ 2 | Bamber Bridge | ASAP start | £12.71 - £14.00 P/H
The Opportunity
A young and rapidly growing CQC-registered digital healthcare provider, offering online clinic and pharmacy services, is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Dispenser.
In just two years of operation, this company has grown to become one of the UK’s leading and largest providers of online healthcare services. Key partnerships include major organizations like Vitality Health insurance, Eli Lilly (manufacturers of Mounjaro), and Daye Health. The company is also proud to be one of the first NHS providers of weight loss services, currently supporting close to 100,000 patients.
By collaborating with today's most transformative organizations, this team is actively designing a healthier future for Britain.
Work Culture
Operating as a young team of just under 30 people, this is a truly non-hierarchical organization with a friendly and supportive culture. It is an ideal environment for someone early in their career who is looking to learn and grow.
Several team members joined in entry-level roles and rapidly progressed to managers and leads within a year. Progression is driven by hiring and promoting individuals who are ambitious, hard-working, and possess a can-do attitude. Candidates are welcome to reach out to any current team members to find out about the culture firsthand.
The Role
This isn’t a typical Dispenser role. It’s a chance to be part of something bigger—helping shape the future of pharmacy, supporting cutting-edge clinical services, and playing a vital part in one of the UK’s most innovative digital healthcare providers.
The position requires someone who wants more than just a 9–5; someone who is curious, switched-on, and ready to be part of a tight-knit team making a real impact every day.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing clinic orders, including picking items and dispensing prescription medicines using the PMR system (RxWeb).
Collecting, recording, and reviewing patient information.
Referring queries to the Responsible Pharmacist when needed.
Recording near misses and supporting corrective/preventive actions.
Communicating with patients and colleagues remotely via email, chat, video calls, and telephone (essential for a hybrid and remote working environment).
Assisting with stock management alongside the Pharmacy Operations Manager and undertaking other duties as required to support the team.
Successful candidates will also be eligible to enroll in a company-sponsored NVQ Level 3 for Pharmacy Technicians, complete with protected training time and a dedicated tutor for support.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 6 months in a UK-based Pharmacy setting.
- Credentials: NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills (or equivalent) and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
