Occupational Therapist

Your World is currently looking to place a Band 7 OT with UK experience into a locum role in Ashford.

Based in a fantastic Acute hospital in Ashford, this position is ideal for an OT who needs a new challenge and wants to take their career to the next step. This position comes with the added bonus of working alongside an experienced team of healthcare professionals.

The main duties of the role include:

-              To take a leadership role in the clinical delivery and evaluation of therapy services in General & Specialist Medicine at William Harvey Hospital. 

-              To provide clinical specialist Occupational Therapy skills for both general and specialist medical and frailty patients. 

-              To provide a key focus for therapeutic clinical expertise, high quality advice and support to the multi-disciplinary team. 

-               To establish and develop sound communication networks, along with other clinical specialists across the Health Economy, in order to provide a high quality, efficient service. 

-              In conjunction with the MDT, develop and deliver postgraduate training relevant to clinical specialty. 

-               In conjunction with the Site Lead and Clinical Therapy Leads, ensure clinical governance targets are met, including the development of clinical standards and protocols, specialist evidence-based practice, audit, research, clinical and non-clinical risk management. 

Requirements

• Full OT qualifications

• HCPC registration

• UK Occupational Therapy experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication
