Children’s Community Occupational Therapist Band 6
Based within a fantastic Specialist Paediatric Service in Bromley, this position is ideal for an Occupational Therapist who needs a new challenge and wants to take their career to the next step. This position is suitable for a very experienced Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist and would accept candidates on a 6 level. The hourly pay rate for this role is £26 - £30 P/H all inclusive.
The role is to be responsible for a clinical caseload and to develop and provide a specialist paediatric occupational therapy service, undertaking assessment, interpretation of assessment results, evaluation, treatment, and advice. ·
To carry out assessments and evaluate the child’s occupational performance through, e.g. the use of standardised and non-standardised assessments, observation, interview with parent or carer and/or parent and teacher questionnaires. ·
To develop, plan and implement specialist Occupational Therapy treatment programme and strategies to enhance the child’s ability to perform everyday activities and participate in multiple environments through, e.g. verbal and written advice and recommendations, written advice sheets, individual treatment and/or group therapy.
To assess the child's need for small aids and specialist equipment ( e.g. specialist seating, bath aids and toilet aids), advise and recommend/provide appropriate equipment for use at home, pre-school and school, in line with service criteria.
ASAP – for 2-3 Months.
30 hours over Mon-Fri, shift days and times flexible.
Our client is looking for candidates who meet all of the following criteria:
- Extensive experience in treating children with neurodevelopmental disorders, MSK, fractures and a range of underlying conditions
- Experience with EHCP reports, CPIP, orthotics and equipment is required
- Have access to own car for work purposes (if the role is outside of Central London)
- Be available to commence the role ASAP and commit to the full duration of this contract
