Dental Nurse Requirements
GDC registration
You will have chairside experience and ideally hold the NEBDN National Certificate for Dental Nurses, NVQ in Oral Health Care Dental Nursing Level 2 & 3, Diploma in Dental Nursing L3 or equivalent.
You will be registered with the General Dental Council and have personal indemnity cover.
NHS experience is desirable

The Role
Confident operating machines and can record data accurately
Working face-to-face with patients from various backgrounds
Strong communicator
Support clinicians in a wide range of different types of clinical treatments, within a range of settings e.g. clinics, patients’ homes, residential care and nursing homes, hospices and hospitals.
Anticipate clinician needs and support patients during dental treatment.
Responding to individual patient’s needs and provide pre- and post-operative instruction when needed, ensuring privacy and dignity is maintained.
Prepare the dental surgery and temporary clinical environments outside of clinical areas for use, ensuring the use of personal protective equipment as defined by Trust Infection Prevention guidelines.
Ensure correct clean instruments and equipment, x-rays, records and electronic records are available to the clinician prior to treatment
Provide clinical support for Inhalation and Intra-Venous sedation clinics - additional training will be provided if necessary.
