HR Business Partner (Band 7)

Pay Rates: Up to £32 per hour Umbrella or £29.10 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay
Hours / Working Days: 37.5 hours per week / Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm -Hybrid

Role Overview
We are seeking two experienced HR Business Partners (Band 7) to join our HR Team on a temporary basis. The successful candidates will provide proactive, customer-focused HR support across multiple service areas. The role requires regular travel between our Cringleford and St Ives sites and plays a key part in delivering people-focused solutions that drive service excellence and support workforce plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Community Unit and Service Leads to deliver high-quality, customer-focused HR advice and people solutions that support organisational goals.
- Act as a subject matter expert for HR and people management, promoting best practice and acting as a link to wider Workforce functions.
- Lead on recruitment and retention strategies in collaboration with the Recruitment and Retention Business Partner Lead, developing tailored actions to address recruitment challenges and turnover hotspots.
- Work collaboratively with workforce colleagues and the Strategic Workforce Planning Lead to support the development and delivery of proactive, measurable, and achievable workforce plans.
- Provide expert guidance and lead locally on HR activities including:
- Employee relations
- Workforce diversity and inclusion
- Staff health and wellbeing
- Staff survey actions
- Identify, manage, and support workforce issues and lead on major organisational change programmes.
- Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of corporate HR policies, ensuring consistent and effective application across services.
- Prepare high-quality consultation papers, reports, and supporting documentation as required.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- CIPD qualification, Postgraduate Diploma in HRM, or equivalent experience to Master’s level.
- Evidence of additional training or professional development to Master’s level or equivalent.
- Proven experience working as an HR Business Partner (or equivalent level role).
- Line management experience.
- Strong performance management experience.
- Experience in preparing consultation papers and professional HR reports.
