Hours / Working Days: Monday–Friday 36 hours per week
Purpose of the Role
The Senior EHCP QA and Data Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the Head of SEND and Alternative Provision to implement the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Quality Assurance Framework, ensuring high-quality, accurate and timely reporting across SEND and Alternative Provision services.
The role is responsible for coordinating and facilitating case audits, multi-agency quality assurance activities, performance reporting and data analysis. A key focus will be ensuring effective data management across the service’s case management system (Liquid Logic) and supporting continuous quality improvement in EHCP processes, statutory compliance and service performance.
This post requires a highly skilled individual capable of “hitting the ground running” with minimal training, particularly in the use of Liquid Logic and EHCP reporting processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Performance
- Support the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the EHCP Quality Assurance Framework.
- Prepare and facilitate case audits and multi-agency quality assurance activity, ensuring findings are captured and reported to senior leaders and relevant stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality reports on auditing, quality assurance and service performance for internal and external audiences.
- Train and support colleagues and partners in the use of quality assurance tools and processes.
- Liaise with the Performance Team to ensure Quality Assurance reports are prepared and presented accurately for senior management analysis.
- Provide regular feedback on KPIs and data insights at team meetings and other forums.
Data Management & Reporting
- Collect, cleanse and analyse data required for statutory returns, FOIs, the SEND Executive Board and wider reporting purposes.
- Ensure accurate and timely data is provided for the SEND dashboard through close collaboration with the Performance Team, Pupil Place Planning Team and other internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and oversee workflows within Liquid Logic from assessment to finalisation, Annual Reviews, ceasing of plans, Mediation and Tribunal processes.
- Work with the Liquid Logic Team to resolve system issues, implement upgrades and support improvements.
- Champion data quality across the service, ensuring accurate, efficient and effective use of the case management system.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work collaboratively with SEND colleagues, multi-agency partners and wider Council services to support high-quality practice and data integrity.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Experience
- Strong experience and understanding of the EHCP process, the Children and Families Act 2014, and the SEND Code of Practice (2015).
- Experience using Liquid Logic or a similar case management system (essential).
- Experience managing or supporting teams to ensure compliance in case management and EHCP processes.
- Experience working in a busy, high-pressure environment.
- Understanding and practical experience of quality assurance processes and use of QA tools.
- Experience working collaboratively in a multi-agency environment.
