Job Title: Patient Booking & Reception Administrator
 Location: James Paget Hospital
 Employer: Your Medical Services
 Contract Type: Temporary (Approx. 9 months with possible extension)
 Pay Rate: £16 per hour PAYE (exclusive)
 Working Hours: Between 8:00am – 6:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Overview
 Your Medical Services are recruiting for a Patient Booking & Reception Administrator to support services at James Paget Hospital. This role involves a mixture of patient booking and front-of-house reception duties within a busy NHS setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring clinics run smoothly and patients receive professional and efficient support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Booking and scheduling patient appointments in line with clinic availability
  • Greeting patients and managing reception desk duties
  • Handling inbound and outbound calls professionally
  • Updating and maintaining accurate patient records
  • Liaising with clinical teams regarding appointment changes
  • Supporting patient flow within clinic environments
  • Responding to general patient queries
  • Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with NHS data standards

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative, reception, or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional and patient-focused approach
  • Good organisational and multitasking ability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic IT skills and attention to detail
