Lead Pharmacist – Oncology/Haematology

Your World Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Lead Pharmacist with a strong background in Oncology and Haematology to join a leading private hospital in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated pharmacy professional to play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and driving clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and deliver high-quality pharmaceutical services within Oncology and Haematology.

• Screen and verify Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) prescriptions.

• Dispense and manage medicines within a hospital environment, ensuring safe and effective use.

• Support and advise on electronic prescribing systems and medicine management processes.

• Conduct clinical audits and contribute to research and practice development.

• Develop, implement, and monitor clinical protocols and guidelines.

• Provide expert patient counselling and ongoing management.

• Maintain accurate patient drug histories and ensure data integrity.

• Manage pharmaceutical stock efficiently, ensuring effective control and supply.

• Communicate clearly and effectively with multidisciplinary teams across all levels of the hospital.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Oncology and Haematology Pharmacy.

• Previous work in a hospital setting (private or NHS).

• Strong understanding of SACT, electronic prescribing, and clinical governance.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.

• Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
